How does a disappearing message link work?

When you write a message, View Once encrypts it using AES-256 and generates a unique private link. Once the recipient opens the link, the message is decrypted, displayed, and immediately deleted from the server.

Can a deleted private message be recovered?

No. Once a message is opened and read, or if it expires, it is permanently deleted from our servers. Because of our zero-knowledge architecture, deleted messages can never be recovered.

How are the messages secured?

All messages are encrypted with industry-standard AES-256 encryption. If you choose to add a password, we derive a secure key using PBKDF2 key derivation with 100,000 iterations, ensuring maximum confidentiality.
